      Compensation: $60,000/ year

      What you’ll do:
      With such a strong and increasing demand for outdoor activities, Windsure is growing! We’re seeking a values-based leader with a passion for the outdoors and the water to help us level up operations. As General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, performance and support of our programs and staff. You will directly manage the Beach Hut Supervisors and Summer Camps Supervisor as well as be a resource to the broader staff. You will report directly to the owner and work with them on high-level strategy and growth initiatives for the business. Our goal as a team is to ensure that each customer embarking on a windsurfing, skimboarding or stand-up paddling adventure has the most fun and safe experience before, on, and off the water.
      As a seasonal business, this role has significant built-in flexibility, including part-time hours and extended time away from work during the offseason. March start date is preferred in order to lead hiring initiatives; however, hours in March can either be full-time or part-time, with full time beginning in April.

    • Requirements

      SCHOOL & RENTAL OPERATIONS
      Support the Supervisors & Beach Hut Team in delivering exceptional customer service and coordinating equipment rentals and lesson facilitation in a safe, professional and friendly manner
      Provide front-line supervision on program and customer experience delivery
      Support the overarching needs of lessons, camp programs and other staff on water and land through communication between these teams and with respective supervisors
      Make necessary updates to the booking & resource management system
      Manage the preparation, maintenance and repair of equipment, service and storage areas
      Complete weekly inventory, condition tracking and order equipment and supplies as needed
      Direct and support team to maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
      Continuously educate on and uphold COVID-19 protocols to both team members and guests
      Availability to work evenings and weekends during season (April-October) as needed
      Jump in and help when needed
      PEOPLE LEADERSHIP
      Schedule team members and manage schedule change requests that meet budgeting targets
      Review and approve team clock-ins
      Run bi-weekly payroll
      Train Supervisors to assist with administrative tasks
      Oversee and update Health & Safety plan as needed
      Anticipate hiring needs, posting of jobs, interviewing candidates, and delivering job offers
      Oversee team member onboarding & training for a strong work culture and customer experience
      Lead weekly leadership team meeting
      Develop and disseminate weekly internal team-wide updates
      Manage team performance and discipline, including conducting performance reviews
      Coordinate with marketing and administration leads to support their functions
