All-Aboard Watersports is seeking an Activities Manager to oversee the delivery of all water activity at our small but thriving watersports centre located in the Bristol Docks. You will have responsibility for ensuring high quality, safe and fun delivery of our sailing, rowing, paddling, SUP and powerboating activity sessions. You will also be responsible for the maintenance of the facilities and equipment. As Activities Manager you will need to have some project and people management skills, patience and an ability to multi-task. This role is varied and fast paced, so excellent organisation and communication skills are vital.
You will have line management responsibility for four seasonal contracted Lead Watersports Instructor, part time casual watersports instructors and a part time Bosun and Facilities Officer. You will be line managed by the CEO and supported by a small internal staff team comprised of 2 part time admin officers, a volunteer coordinator, a part time finance officer and a project coordinator.
All-Aboard is a small charity whose core aim is enable access for all to the water, including those who have barriers to participation and individuals with additional needs. Experience of working with people with additional needs is desirable and a commitment to improving people’s life chances is essential. You will be well supported in this busy and challenging role by an excellent and dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
This role would suit someone who has completed a number of seasons as a watersports instructor and is looking to develop those skills further; or someone with project management and coordination experience.
As this post is a Maternity Cover position, the role will need to start no later than April 2019.
